Teenage is rightly termed as the most sensitive phase of your body because there are complete hormonal, emotional and physical changes taking place in the body so as to cater to the requirements of the future. From the view point of teens what they concern as the most important problem arising from being overweight is their physical appearance, but it is important that the parents should take an initiative and make the teens understand that being overweight not only bothers their physical attractiveness but it also acts as an obstacle in healthy physical and psychological growth. It is said that the way you live your teenage reflects the entire life so for a confident life it is important that you live confidently and blossom well in your teenage and embrace the changes that take place. But obesity leaves many youngsters struggling to live confidently. Thus parents should realize the stress levels that the adolescents may be undergoing through his/her weight concerns and deal with them appropriately. After this emotional support you can be assured that the next time your adolescent daughter or son looks at herself/himself into the mirror she/he will definitely not sulky face but they will love to admire themselves.
